Report: Blake Griffin has torn meniscus

Clippers All Star big man Blake Griffin has reportedly been diagnosed with a meniscus tear in his left knee, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Citing "NBA executives who were not authorized to speak publicly on the matter," the L.A. Times report states that Griffin will likely undergo arthroscopic surgery to repair the injury some time next week.
Griffin, who twisted the knee during a practice with the U.S. Olympic team on Thursday, is expected to be ready for training camp in October, but won't be able to play for the American team in London.
Naismith Award winner and No. 1 overall pick Anthony Davis has been called in as a replacement for Griffin, scoring nine points against the Dominican Republic in his U.S. team debut on Thursday night.
Griffin, 23, has already had surgery on his left knee, which kept him out of the entire 2009-2010 season after being drafted No. 1 overall in 2009. The power forward has averaged 21.7 points and 11.5 rebounds while playing in every game for the Clippers over the last two seasons.
