David Hasselhoff attentds Manchester City Vs Stoke City - English Premier League

Manchester City welcomed yet another famous football fan from across the pond to the Etihad this afternoon.

After Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise turned up to watch the Manchester derby on December 9, former Baywatch actor David Hasselhoff put in an appearance to watch City brush Stoke aside.

'The Hoff' watched the Premier League champions hammer Tony Pulis' visitors 3-0 from the stands.

But he was given the chance to join the players in the dressing room after the final whistle. The 60-year-old star seized the opportunity to take a few photographs and tweeted a number of pictures of himself alongside members of the City squad.

As well as posing - with a sky blue City shirt on - alongside Pablo Zabaleta, Yaya Toure, Javi Garcia, Joe Hart and James Milner, Hasselhoff was pictured clutching Toure's shirt next to injured goalscorer Sergio Aguero.

Unlike Cruise, Hasselhoff proved to be a good omen for the home side, and tweeted his gratitude to the club for their hospitality.

Before kick-off, Hasselhoff, who is in the North West as 'Hoff the Hook' in Manchester Theatres's production of Peter Pan, said he plans to watch bitter rivals United at some point but was 'here for Man City today'.

He added on citytv: 'I wish them well. It's a lovely stadium and the people are great.

'I love the fact that the teams and towns are so loyal and passionate about their players, it's quite different from America.

'They (Manchester City) were gracious enough to give me a box on my day off and I said "I'd want nothing better than to go to a Man City game, see them win, enjoy myself, meet the players and say hi."'
