Chelsea have reportedly won the race to sign Brazilian forward Oscar, who has also been pursued by Tottenham.
The 20-year-old will travel to London this summer for the Olympic Games and, it would appear, will make the city his home following the conclusion of the competition.
According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea have had on offer of £25 million accepted by Internacional for Oscar, who rose to prominence last summer by scoring a hat-trick in the final of the Under-20 World Cup.
Spurs had been very much in the race to sign Oscar, with Andre Villas-Boas reported to have offered around £18 million in the hope of keeping the youngster from the clutches of his former club.
But Chelsea have won out in the pursuit of the exciting playmaker, to take their summer spending close to the £70 million mark, following the acquisitions of Eden Hazard and Marko Marin.
It had been expected that Roman Abramovich would curtail his spending somewhat this year, but the Russian appears intent on further reinforcing his Champions League winning squad.
